Snake Hound Machine is pleased to offer their first AK Armorer class in conjunction with an AK 101 class from Rockwell Tactical Group.  This is a long one-day course with both classroom and range time.

Class starts at 8:00 AM on Friday August 2nd 2013 at the clubhouse (Quonset hut) at Londonderry Fish and Game Club.

You will learn maintenance, repair, modification, and (more importantly) the engineering of the Kalashnikov platform. As part of the class you will learn to make and install your own SHM Combat Trigger.

Topics to be covered include:

  • History and application of the AK as a primary and defensive weapon
  • Loading and unloading
  • The 8 fundamentals of shooting
  • Zero
  • Natural point of aim
  • Slings
  • Malfunctions
  • Shooting techniques unique to the AK
  • Foundation drills

Items required for course:

  • AK type rifle,
  • Approximately 500 rounds of ammo
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (to include pants with belt)
  • 5 Magazines
  • Mag Pouch(es)
  • Rifle Sling
  • Eye and Hearing protection
  • Rifle cleaning kit
  • Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, needle-nose pliers, any specific tools your rifle might require (i.e., Allen wrenches, etc.)
  • Any additional specific tools and parts will be provided

The Rockwell application must be downloaded, filled out and attached with the appropriate documentation and submitted before you can attend the class. This is not optional. Ammo sales for this class are being handled through Snake Hound exclusively.
