The Portuguese Army may have decided to ditch its 7.62x51mm G3s in favor of the 5.56x45mm SCAR-L, but the Portuguese Navy on the other has decided to save some money by simply modernizing its G3s instead of replacing them.

Based on the upgrade kit that Spur developed for the Swedish Army’s G3s, the Portuguese Navy G3s will be ready to carry on for more years to come.
