Marine Corps “Raiders” will be saying goodbye to California as the Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command has officially announced that its entire elite special operations force will be consolidated on the East Coast.

Roughly 900 Marines, sailors and civilian employees with the 1st Marine Raider Battalion and 1st Marine Raider Support Battalion will be moved from Camp Pendleton, California to join the rest of the Raider community at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina by the end of the summer 2022.
