The rifle is built on a Russian made Saiga 5.56mm AK. Using this as a base, Definitive Arms installs their revolutionary AR-15 mag well which allows the rifle to accept standard AR15 magazines. The Definitive Arms mag well also gives the rifle the ability to lock open on the last shot fired and includes a bolt release lever to send the bolt home once a fresh magazine is inserted.
