Continuing on our recent theme of French involvement in Africa, our interest was piqued recently when we saw this new -and unusual – morale patch design pop up.

“C’est L’Afrique” is of course French for “This is Africa” – you might remember this saying from the movie “Blood Diamond“ (also shortened to the abbreviation T.I.A.).

Apparently, these patches were made for a group of PMC Contractors working in The Democratic Republic of Congo (which is of course neither democratic nor a republic).
