Our friends over at ITS Tactical have been busy recently going out into the boonies to run their 2nd big camo comparison photo-study. They’ll have the photos processed and posted soon, but in the meantime they’ve posted a story about all the excitement, adventures, shenanigans and mis-adventures they experienced along the way. Its an entertaining read.Meanwhile, here’s a taster of what’s to come… … and as you can see, Desert TigerStripe might look “tacti-cool” but is actually totally useless…

I think one of the advantages of Tigerstripe (and Leiber) is that it is very effective at breaking up the body’s shadows. I can think of worse patterns in the above environment. (Its actually quite effective if you squint.)
If you squint hard enough, even UCP becomes more effective…
Did Tiger Stripe Products actually ever manage to produce and sell any of those digital Tiger Stripe patterns they had on their website as “in development” about 3-4 years ago?
They were Brittish SAS guys if I`m not mistaken… they had that same camo !In case of the digital tigerstripe , the US Airforce uses that in a blue-greyish colour…
ah ok but i asked that because i saw some of these uniforms in afghanistan… thanks for the info !
Nah, that looks like regular desert tigerstripe. Not all the pattern tested were “digital”.Doesn’t need to be.
is that the digital tigerstripe desert camo???
