Direct Action® is a new series of professional-grade products from Helikon-Tex®. The Direct Action® series is designed and built from the start to meet the needs of the most demanding professionals, and draws on the experience of former operators from US Navy SEAL Team Three and Polish JW GROM.
The D.A.® series is made from top-quality components – such as Cordura® fabrics, YKK® zippers, and Duraflex® buckles – and incorporates cutting-edge features like laser-cut MOLLE/PLAS compatible panels, and a patented back padding-ventilation system.
The Dragon Egg® is 25-liter capacity backpack designed for patrol duty or EDC use. The pack features two hydration bladder pockets – one in the main compartment and additional in the zipped back part. The rear pocket, thanks to a padded sleeve, can be used for safely carrying multiband radios, or notebook, laptop and tablet PCs (up to 15’’ screen).
The front pocket of the Dragon Egg® features zipped mesh pocket and simple organizer for small essentials. Additional side pockets can carry small and flat items – and also can be expanded, after unzipping, to fit a Nalgene-sized bottle of standard U.S. canteen. The laser-cut system compatible with MOLLE/PALS makes the backpack not only fully modular, but also maintains a sleeker, low-profile shape.
Due to its ‘egg’ shape the pack has smaller height and width then other packs with similar capacity, and is also more comfortable with belt kits or ballistic vests. The pack’s suspension system is based on a combination of comfortable shoulder straps and an internal stiffener in the back.
The Dragon Egg® also incorporates the patented Combat Vent System® – an innovative ventilation system that provides increased comfort for the user. Made of contoured foam pieces with multiple air channels encased in highly breathable mesh fabric , the Combat Vent System® keeps the pack off the back. This enhances air circulation preventing heat build-up and sweating, while the stiff foam ensures comfort and stability.
Made of durable 500D Cordura® nylon fabric with water resistant coating and PU backing; the Dragon Egg is available in Coyote Brown, Black, Olive Drab, Ranger Green, Camogrom, Polish Woodland, Kryptek, and PenCott BadLands, GreenZone, and SnowDrift.
