Following the trend in the US military for Tactical Assault Panel (TAP) type chest rigs – basically, a stripped down chest rig that gives you three ready mags right where you can comfortable carry them and easily grab them – BCS has introduced a TAP for AK users.
The AK TAP has been developed in response to a lot of requests from guys up-wind on the two-way range, but it will also surely be welcomed by armed citizens who run an AK at home or on the one-way range.
The AK TAP is deliberately designed as a lightweight, low-profile 3-mag carrier that will integrate nicely with a hydro-carrier, plate-carrier or body armor. But with its built-in slim line Y-harness it can also be used easily and comfortably in stand-alone mode too. For added versatility, the rig also features 3 rows of PALS webbing across its front so users can add whatever additional pouches they need as well.
