Some 200 soldiers from 16 Air Assault Brigade were among 500 paratroopers who took part in a jump at Ginkel Heath to mark the 70th anniversary of Operation MARKET GARDEN. The British paratroops jumped from American C130s using the distinctive T-11 parachute to earning their American jump wings.

A memorial service was held at the Oosterbeek War Cemetery to honour those killed during Operation Market Garden. A veteran is supported here by paratroopers as he lays a wreath.
During the service Dutch schoolchildren laid flowers on each of the graves in the cemetery, which has 1,680 British and Commonwealth, three Polish and three Dutch soldiers buried in it.
